About ADVNCD
ADVNCD tutoring was made to offer online tutoring from a different perspective. With insight from a high schooler himself who understands the struggles of school nowadays and knows how to work around struggles to succeed. Hi, my name is Hudson Stevens. I am a sixteen-year-old in high school from San Diego, California. I started offering help at my old middle school at the start of my sophomore year, going in before school to offer help in math and science. As sports started up and finals began to come around, it grew harder to keep waking up at 5 am to go and tutor. So, I switched to online tutoring. I decided to build a business of my own where I can share who I am and offer personalized tutoring to fellow students. I wanted to create something where I can share my passion with others and help them build theirs, too. This is why I created ADVNCD tutoring. A source of online tutoring that offers flexible hours and sessions where we build and grow off each person's unique struggles. Because we all know that everybody learns differently.
One of the main goals we have is to ensure that students get insight from other students who are currently excelling in material that others are sturggling in to get relevant and efficient tips. However, if our only goal was to help build foundations and get students to excel, why would our services cost money? Well, all proceeds from ADVNCD tutoring are used to help build physics foundations at school across California, with low funding and struggling programs. The money we raise is used to help buy and donate physics equipment, donate textbooks, and fund students who cannot afford Physics and other STEM AP tests. This is our way of giving those who dont have the opportunity a way to shine in the field of sciences and math to help them excel and be prepared if they intend to study it in college.
Now, a bit more about me. I am currently a junior at LCC High School. I am the youngest of my family, with two older brothers and an older sister. I enjoy mathematics and physics in school and hope to study physics in college. I have a 5.0 GPA, 4.0 unweighted, am in accelerated math and physics courses, and scored a 5 on AP physics last year. This last summer, I spent a few weeks in Boston studying quantum mechanics and electromagnetic physics at Harvard. However, I don't spend all my time on just school. I really enjoy being with my family and going out with my friends. I frequently lift weights to stay healthy and play lacrosse and golf. Some of my favorite hobbies include being in nature, backpacking, hiking, fishing, and skiing.
